Twill Diamond Studies are weavings exploring the relationship between woven structures and tonal range using a TC2 (Thread Controller 2) digital jacquard weaving loom. Twill Diamond patterns, a type of Twill weave noted for emphasis on crossing diagonals, are applied to areas of the composition to create changes in value. Dark beige acrylic yarn is woven on black cotton warp to reference value studies of light and shadow.
