Collaborative research at Arizona State University (ASU) on the functional benefits of patterns in nature focusing on insect nest structure (supported by NASA) and insect wing venation (supported by The Biomimicry Center). Investigation into art and design principles related to math and biology, that could influence certain kinds of engineering performance, are at the core of this research.
