naturally bonded boards

A collaborative effort with Research Mechanical Engineer John F. Hunt (now retired), of the USDA Forest Service Forest Products Laboratory (FPL) from 2010-2014 on the research of a non-toxic, biodegradable and recyclable, engineered wood composite panel made from sawdust and post consumer and recycled fibers without added formaldehyde. I was in a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with FPL from 2012-14. In 2012, I jointly filed with John Hunt the following provisional patent: Lee C.M.; Hunt, J.F. 2012. BINDERLESS PANEL MADE FROM WOOD PARTICLES AND CELLULOSIC FIBERS. US Patent Application No.: 61/594921. The status was “patent pending” when I transferred my rights to FPL in 2014.
